Just a quick note here. From what I have learned, the first step to doing business online is to build your list. Some have suggested the best way to begin is to join “Giveaways.” Therefore, I have joined the Social Marketing Giveaway being run by Guido Nussbaum that begins this August 3rd. I am hoping to get some subscribers to my list through that event. I will let you all know what happened and how it worked after it’s done. So far, I have heard there are over 1400 contributors signed up–it should be a great even with lots of good products.
To begin my list, the other necessary thing to do was to get an autoresponder. AWeber seems to be a highly recommended provider. What they do is let you set up email messages to automatically respond to people who sign up as subscribers. From what I can tell, this is a key piece to getting your list together and working for you. I still have to do some more work with the autoresponder, but it seems pretty straightforward–it even lets you create the forms you need for subscribers to opt-in. An interesting point here–all those links I included have what is called and “affiliate number” in them, so they are called affiliate links. Just as I have included them here for you, when you sign up, you will be able to become an affiliate as well. it doesn’t cost you anything, but by sharing this information, even promoting it, you will be able to be paid a commission based on everyone who uses the link you provide when they also go to sign up. It doesn’t cost them or you anything! It is just one of them many ways to do business online and profit from your list–even as you build your list! It may not be much to start with, but eventually, it all adds up to “multiple streams of income!” And, I think that is my goal–to help each other be able to be doing business online, so we can all live well!
